The Sanctuary At Northstar

The Sanctuary at NorthStar, located at 3250 Quick Water Landing in Kennesaw, Ga., is a beautifully designed luxury personal care community. Warm earth tones and soft patterns, finely crafted furnishings and abundant landscaped grounds create an environment that surrounds you with comfort and elegance. Even in the smallest details - linens, crystal, and silver - you will find The Sanctuary to be a welcoming and caring place to call home.

The Sanctuary at Northstar is a gracious assisted living community in Kennesaw. It is located directly across from Northstar Church off Blue Springs Rd., just blocks from Highway 41.

Within this hilltop setting, seniors find assisted living and Alzheimer's care that provides families with unsurpassed peace of mind. In both the assisted living and the Alzheimer's and Dementia program, there are achievement-oriented activities for each unique individual. Believing that Alzheimer's and other memory disorders are diseases of the mind, not the spirit, they strive to inspire and stimulate that spirit every day with activities and excursions that touch all the senses.

Many seniors are now waiting longer to move into assisted living communities because it is often difficult to find a balance between the independence they cherish and the services they need. The Sanctuary helps to achieve this equilibrium through a marriage of beautifully appointed private apartments and an extensive menu of available personal care and concierge services.

The thing that makes a house a home is the people in it. The Sanctuary at Northstar has an outstanding group of management staff and caregivers, many of whom have been with The Sanctuary for many years. They know all the residents, their tastes and preferences, what they need, and even how they like their coffee. They excel at making every person feel special.

Residents enjoy a diverse schedule of activities to support mental, physical, social, and spiritual well-being. One of the primary reasons for moving into an assisted living community is to combat a wide array of physiological conditions such as depression and general decline.

These can often be averted or lessened through the integration of companionship through social interaction, mental stimulation from organized activities, and physical maintenance. Executive Director, Denise Richards believes, "our success is largely the result of good daily nutrition and hydration, exercise, exacting medication management, care-free living and hugs."

to the beautiful grounds and surrounding area.

The Sanctuary is a CaraVita Community that provides residents with the advantage of living in an environment where needed personal care services can be provided through the highly trained in-house staff or obtained though affiliate service providers such as CaraVita Home Care.

The library at The Sanctuary at Northstar also serves as a private dining room where residents can host their own dinner party or entertain visitors. Meals can be provided by the Dining Services Department or catered in.

Physical therapists, visiting physicians, nurses, dentist, or any other of a wide array of supportive services are scheduled on a routine basis. This allows most people the satisfaction of calling The Sanctuary at Northstar 'home' for many years and a comforting "age in place" experience.

For anyone recovering from an illness or injury, CaraVita Home Care can provide the extra one-on-one assistance needed either at The Sanctuary or wherever someone may reside.

CaraVita means 'Life Care' and they are dedicated to helping increase quality of life wherever they may serve their clients. They provide a gamut of services such as companionship, housekeeping, nutrition, transportation to medical appointments, supplementary care for a working family caring for a loved-one, or even regular visits to help a senior comply with physician instructions and medication monitoring.

Each beautiful apartment is furnished with the treasured possessions of the resident so that it reflects their personal style and always feels like home.
